Blogging update 2015

Today on the 24th of September 2015, I finished editing my Trailer Analysis of 'The Dark Knight'. This has been put up on my blog. I analyzed this on Windows Movie Maker, which shows that I can use a new piece of software to analyse a piece of work.

Today (28th of September 2015) we started and finished recording our Prelim task. Me (Jack), Oktawian and Chloe recorded a short, which we then put on our blog. We also started editing that on the Macs using IMovie.

Today on 29th of September 2015 we finished editing our short and fully inserted it onto our blogs. Turns out we still had edits to do, which we then completed on the 30th.

Today the 6th of October 2015 we analyzed our Prelim task, which we then noted down what went well, and what we could improve. We call this WWW (what went well) and EBI (even better if.) With that information we then can start our Prelim Analysis Task.

Construction task edits

Me and Oktawian think that we need to change;

Use more props

Shoot more scenes with the bat

Glasses-Hands-Blood-Face? order of shots from the start

Walking backwards need to be reshot

Blogging update 4

On the 4/1/16 me and Oktawian edited more of the footage that we have recorded. We also started work on one of the production company logos which will be seen at the start of the production. I believe that we are making good progress on the production, however, we still have a few scenes left to shoot before we are fully finished.

Blogging update #3

 9/12/15
Me and Oktawian went to ask the PE department for a prop that we need, which is a metal softball bat. However, we were not successful in our search to find the Head of P.E Mr Nichols.

Blogging Update #2

7/12/15

Me and Oktawian went over our storyboards, the main point we wanted to go over was the fact that we had a female killer. We have decided (against the majority of our answers from the Audience research) to change our killer to a male. This was done to make our sequence more conventional, as males are usually killers rather than females. Having a male killer would be more believable.

Blogging Update #1

30/11/15

Today we (me and Oktawian) started our Risk Assessment for filming our main Media task. When I logged into my blog today, I found out that I have 130 page views on my Blog!

Rule of Thirds, Focus Pull and Framing.

2/12/15
In our opening sequence, we have to use Rule of Thirds, Focus Pulls and consider the framing that we have to use in our sequence.

We decided to use the Rule of Thirds in the scene that.... Rule of thirds makes each character appear in the correct sections of the screen, while also the eye-line match is along the top of the intersection.

We have decided to use the Focus Pull when we have the police tape in scene that we have in scene 5. Focus pull puts two things in the frame into frame, which then changes the focus when required.

For the Framing we decided that putting props in certain places while having characters on the other side which makes the scene more meaningful.
